Topological photonic structures can provide enhanced control of light and may offer new platforms for exciton polaritons. Here, we experimentally demonstrate topological exciton polaritons based on guided mode resonances in perovskite junction metasurfaces. Strong exciton responses in perovskite materials enable room temperature operation while compact topological junctions lead to remarkable spatial and spectral responses. Interface states in a junction of the two different gratings combine a small spatial size with narrow, discrete momentum-space distribution while they are directly accessible in the normal direction. This leads to bright, narrow-angled polariton emission with enhanced nonlinearities in compact geometries. The topological junction studied here may become promising platforms for exciton polaritons. We also discuss possible implications for polariton Bose-Einstein condensation.
